Business Profile

Helen Ross, Registered Nutritionist BSc (Hons) Helen Ross is a registered nutritionist and gut health specialist. She helps people who struggle with IBS to uncover the root cause of their condition, empowering them to be confident and pain-free.

"I also struggled with IBS and digestive health problems for most of my adult life - so I spent years researching and studying to understand the underlying cause of my issues and I haven't looked back."

Helen Ross, BSc (Hons) mBANT CNHC, completed her degree in Nutritional Science, plus a practice diploma in Nutritional Therapy, and a certificate in NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) in 2017.

She works as a registered Nutritional Therapist at The Well Life Lab, helping her clients to achieve their health goals. She also runs cooking classes and workshops, as well as one-day retreats, having previously worked as a nutritionist for retreat companies.

Helen specialises in gut health and digestive disorders, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), gluten disorders, and food intolerances. She uses a functional medicine approach to help her to find the root cause or causes of her clients' health issues.

She has further clinical experience with a range of conditions including diabetes management, coeliac disease, thyroid dysfunction, stress management, hormone imbalances, autoimmune conditions, and weight loss.

Helen regularly attends courses for her continued professional development (CPD), in order to keep her knowledge and skills up to date with the latest research. These courses are usually related, but not limited to the topics of gastrointestinal health, the microbiome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), the gut-brain axis, and mental health and wellbeing research.

Helen has a passion for cooking delicious and healthy food and loves teaching others how to easily incorporate anti-inflammatory foods into their diets.

Her mission is to inspire others to ditch heavily processed and junk food, and learn the art of cooking from scratch.
